We are a parent/caregiver-led support group for families with children ages 0-5 who are receiving services for neurodiversity, developmental, and/or medical concerns. Families of children receiving early childhood special education (ECSE) services including early intervention services (birth-3) are encouraged to join.

  1. Who can join ECSE Connect?
    Any parent or caregiver of a child that has a disability and/or developmental delay. The group’s support is aimed at children age 0-5, but we welcome families with children of any age.

  2. Do I have to live in Bloomington to join?
    No. The community is simply based in Bloomington.

  3. Who leads the community?
    The community is led by parents who belong to the Bloomington Early Learning Advisory Council, a group of volunteer parents and other Early Childhood supporters who are interested in promoting the goals of Bloomington Public Schools’ Early Childhood programs which serve our youngest learners, age birth through 5 years old.

  4. Where is the community located?
    The majority of our events (family playdates, parent/caregiver workshops, etc.) are located in Bloomington, but we do travel to parks all around the Twin Cities metro area. Our online platform is a Discord server.

  5. How do you ensure this is a safe place to share about my family?
    All members of the Discord server agree to our Community Guidelines.
